A Sound Bath with Gongs

Did you know that the gong is named after the sound it makes?

What is a Sound Bath?

Simply put, it's a unique sensory experience combining the power of gong sounds, the feeling of gong vibrations moving through and around your body, and the subtle, wafting aroma of pure Australian Sandalwood Oil, to deeply relax and calm you, in mind, body and soul.

What Do I Have to Do?

Nothing!
You lie on a massage table (or a mat) with a pillow for your head, one for your knees, and a blanket to snuggle into.  I use pure Australian Sandalwood Oil in a diffusor .  As I guide you through a simple relaxation exercise you begin to breathe in the calming fragrance of the oil ... and the gonging begins.  As waves of sound roll around and through your body, you'll feel a deep relaxation beginning.  Soon you'll be completely unaware of time or place as you drift into a state of complete peace. The whole session lasts an hour, with time to relax quietly afterwards.  If you combine it with energy healing, it's an hour and a half ... https://facebook.com/allabouthealing

What Do People Say?

"Thank you Debbie for an awesome gonging.  That was a first for me and I really loved it.  The resonance was like waves washing over me.  I was in forests and empty lands, it was beautiful.  Many thanks xxx"  Rosie Reddie and Evie Francis, Denmark

"I've not felt so relaxed in a long time.  I couldn't feel my body!  I had tingling in my feet, then when I stood up, my legs felt like jelly..."

"I find it hard to relax, but I went to sleep."

"Have had severe pain in neck, left arm, shoulder blade and shoulder, no sleep for five
days.  Had severe pain around my heart during the session.  Now I have no pain, can move my arm freely and will hang onto that feeling for as long as I can."  Cheryl Dixon, Perth

"The Gongs sing!"

"I suffer from chronic tinnitus ... immediately after the session I had no ringing in my ears."

About the Gongs

My gongs are tuned.  They are made by the Paiste Company which has been family owned and operated for 3 generations, and whose story began in 1901 in Russia.  Their company and their name is recognized worldwide and their gongs and cymbals are played in orchestras and bands throughout the world.  Their sound quality is undisputed.

About the Oils

Sustainable Sandalwood OilThe oil I use is of the finest quality from the Mt Romance Sandalwood Factory in Albany.
It's grown sustainably in Western Australia from Australian Sandalwood trees (different to the Indian Sandalwood tree).
Sandalwood Oil is known to have anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.  It also works on the central nervous system to calm and soothe ... and smells good too!  I use it in a diffuser throughout the session.
To my mind it's the perfect synthesis - soothing gong harmonies plus the subtle calming fragrance of the oil combining to bring you complete bliss.

  1. That was an excellent post! I had no clue sound bath were so popular. I've been researching and reading a lot about sound bath lately. I'm interested if any of you have any other resources to provide. It appears that finding the most up-to-date information on the website is challenging. I stumbled noticed a handful of relevant websites.https://www.pranalink.com/blog/post/sound-gong-bath/?utm_source=referrer&utm_medium=organic. is one of the websites. The majority of the website does not update regularly enough to assist me in learning more quickly. Is there anyone willing to assist?
